New Office: Quickly Dubbed Goblin Town
I’ve been teasing the office now for awhile and it has consumed most of my summer. It’s still not fully done, but we’re 95% there so I wanted to share it. My goal is to make a short video.
Since the space is in our basement, my wife quickly named it Goblin town, because of course you go down down. Plus, goblin seems fitting in others ways as well.
I’m hoping this space will give me more room to concentrate and produce more awesome dicegeeks products for you all. Below are some pictures with commentary.
Office Pictures
The first one was taken just after the framing went up.

We put in some insulation to help with sound when I record.

After we got the drywall up, decided to try something different. I wanted an interesting background, especially since I will be making more videos. Well, everyone hates it, except for me.

This wall needed a couple of corners, I realized we could include my old bookcase.

The shelves are up on the main wall.

My autographed picture of Jeff Conaway. I love Babylon 5, by the way. I only met him briefly at a con, but he seemed like a super cool dude. Sadly, he passed away in 2011.

Ah, the portrait of an ancient king… This was a prop for the first feature film I wrote and directed. I found it in a box and didn’t remember having it. So, it went on the wall.

Some figures from my childhood. Another goofy little space was created by the constraints of the basement was filled with two-inch wide shelves.

The finished wall everyone hates. Hopefully, someone out there will like it.

My homage to my favorite movie.

Some of my books and junk. The shelves filled up so fast I had to get rid of some books. Most of those had been damaged while in storage anyway.

A Boris 1980 special. I didn’t remember that I owned this, but found it in a box.

Autographed by Ray Harryhausen. Woot!
